BONUS POST: ALZHEIMER'S: A Love Story―A Documentary Film & Link to "QStack".

“Good Grieving: Doing it correctly … doing it your own way!”

This FREE TO WATCH post of my documentary is being done in conjunction with Troy Ford and QStack, which will feature my book, “Good Grieving: Doing it correctly … doing it your own way!”, on Qstack | The LGBTQIA+ Community of Substacks.

Let this post serve as my “self-published book” post for the month of December as well as a “NEW” piece featuring “ALZHEIMER’S: A Love Story”, a 15 minute documentary. Two posts in one 😀.

This documentary was made in 2015, accepted into 90+ local, national, and international film festivals, and won 35+ awards, including two of the most prestigious from The American Pavilion at the Cannes Film Festival.

“Alzheimer’s: A Love Story” is a 15-minute documentary film that follows a few days in the life of Gregory, diagnosed 12 years earlier with Alzheimer’s. He lives at a memory care facility in Chicago and can no longer walk, go to the bathroom independently, feed himself without assistance, or carry on a conversation. Every day, a man named Michael comes to visit him. From Michael’s point of view, it’s only right that he do so - after all, Michael has loved Greg since the day they met, 40+ years ago. Even through the Dementia, they continue to share as much as they can in their partnership and their love. Gregory died a short time later.

Check out the linked post from “Troy Ford’s “QStack” for an article featuring Michael’s book: “Good Grieving: Doing it correctly … doing it your own way!”
